Stippling एक पैटर्न का सृजन है जो कि छोटी-छोटी बिंदी का उपयोग करके अलग-अलग कोणों एवं छायांकन का अनुकरण करता हैं। यह पैटर्न प्रकृति में भी हो सकता है। इस तरह के कार्य का अनुकरण हमेशा कलाकारों द्वारा किया जाता है।

      stippling is a creation of a pattern simulating Varying degrees of solidity or shading by using small dots. Such a pattern may occur in nature and these effects are frequently emulated by artists.

          In a drawing or painting, the dots are made of pigment (रंगना) of a single colour, Applied with a pen or brush, The denser (घना) the dots, the darker the Apparent shade or lighter, If the pigment is lighter than the surface. This is similar to but distinct from  pointillism (बिंदु चित्रण), which uses dots of different colours to simulated (अनुरूपता बनाना) blended colours.
